DIY DTV Antenna for Rural Home Help. Coat Hanger Antenna worth it?
Ok, so I live in the middle of cornfields. My stations are all 300 degrees compass heading and the antennas are all 40-50 miles away. I’m sort of in a gully, but only slightly. Trees 3-500 feet from antenna location (woods)
Now what? lol I figured all that crap out. I have the frequency assignments for the stations too, but have no idea what that means.
How about those DTV coat hangar antennas? Do they really work? Would they work for me? If I make one does it have to be perfect? Is there a better antenna I can build for my location?

Go to makezine.com In one of their programs they show how to easily make a suitable antenna. I have some good rabbit ears that get in lots of stations (not in a gully) but I am going to make the one they show. with extra cable it can be put into a tree but them it would be too hard to move about.
