ATTIC FAN DIY

How easy are the DIY spray foam insulation kits?
I want to install spray foam insulation on either the underside of the roof in my attic or on the joists. I’ve seen a number of kits online, and was wondering how easy the installation is. I’m also looking for advice on whether it makes sense to do the ceiling or the floor? It is uninhabited space and there is a house fan on one wall and louvers for house fan on the floor. I live in the northeast so the winters are cold and summers are hot.
Most of the DIY kits are for small areas, like replacing foam or weatherproofing around pipes and such. For a large area such as an attic leave it to the pros. especially in your area, they will know the best way to spray your attic and protect all the equipment up there as well. For choosing the ceiling vs. floor. Insulate the floor. you’ll save money not having to heat the attic that you don’t live in.
