BED CANOPY DIY

I just painted my room purple/pink and now i need to customize it any ideas?
i got new curtains and i was wondering if there are any DIY projects that i could do to customise and decorate my room (ex. displaying pictures/awards,decorating the bed(canopy)….etc.)
Your question can lead to a 10 page answer! There are so many incredible DIY projects that take very little time, minimal cost, and only basic skills. You might want to do an on-line search for “craft projects + home decor” or something like that, or take a trip to your local library because there are so many fantastic books on this.
Here are a few projects that came to my mind while I was reading your question:
1- Buy some beads and clear string (even fishing line will do). Use a pencil to trace a simple pattern onto anything fabric. Put the beads on the string, and quickly stitch it on to the outlined pattern using colour-coordinating thread — one little knot every 5 to 10 beads is usually more than enough (depending on the size of the beads).
2- Pictures can be displayed all over the place. For a very casual feel, buy some cork trivets (Ikea has them 3 for $3) and paint them using the accent colours from your room and glue on some trim or rhinestones for extra sparkle. Attach them to your wall with Velcro or double-sided tape and use push-pins or thumb-tacks to hold your photos and other stuff on.
3- Make some funky pillow covers using inexpensive bandannas or silk scarves (you can often find these in thrift shops for about $1 each). Pin them in place with coloured safety pins, or use a piece of ribbon or cord to tie them, or if the fabric is long enough you can tie a decorative knot with the scarf itself.
Have fun decorating your room & good luck!
