CAR DIY HELP
Help me with DIY on my car?

Someone tried to break into my car. Looks like they shoved a flat head driver in the key hole.
A locksmith advise me to get rid of the cylinder and patch up the hole (Since I have key less entry). So I am taking his advice. Can I do this on my own? How? Can I leave the cylinder and patch it?

My Saturn only has a keylock cylinder on the drivers door, If I did what you suggest, and the battery went dead…there would be no way to get in the car…plus patching the hole on your own isn’t easy.

I would go to a salvage yard and purchase a set of doorlocks from a similar car…50-100.00
