Bad ball joint?
I have a 1990 BMW 325i (E30) that has the front-left tired toed out a little bit. This is a problem with the ball joint, right? Also, how much would it cost to get the ball joint replaced, or how easy is it to do DIY?
Toe-in is controlled by the tie rod end, not the ball joint. Best let the experts tell you. You can jsut take it in for an alignment. If any suspension part is loose, they will tell you and explain that they can’t align it until the offending part is replaced. They have the machinery and the expertise to get it right the first time for you.
