Is refacing cabinets too hard to do yourself?
We have kitchen cabinets that are in great shape. However they have really ugly knobs on them with these sort of star shaped medallion things behing them. We planned on just replacing them but underneath the medallion part is discolored and scratched.
We’re considering painting them or maybe refinishing but both wouldn’t be very fun! I’ve read a bit about DIY cabinet refacing. Has anybody done this or know anything about it?
Do you think it’s easier or harder than painting or refinishing? Also is it really costly?
The good news..our cabinet doors are plain flat.
Sure, it can be done, but it’s a time-consuming project, and you have to be meticulous with your measurements.
