DIY CLOTHES DRYER
My electric clothes dryer does not spin. is it repairable , and if so, how?
I can hear the motor, but drum does not spin. Is there a belt that is accessible that may have broken? Can a below than average DIY repair it.
Most dryers use a belt to turn the drum a few are gear driven but they are usually pretty high dollar. You will have to open the top of the dryer and remove the front to access it. It isn’t a difficult job to do and the belt isn’t very expensive. Just make sure to unplug the dryer and remember what screw goes where. Good luck.
