DIY CUTTING TABLE
Best type of electric hand saw ?

Hi. I am planning to buy an electric saw as part of my tools. I do not have a big space in my place for big power tools but I do need a sort of “all purpose” electric saw that can do simple DIY jobs (i.e., cut lumber for shelves, tables, benches and the like).

I know there are different types of electric saws for different purposes but would you know a particular type which is affordable and is a good substitute for the normal manual hand saw?

Thanks!

If your funds are limited, start with a sabre saw.
The sabre saw can do most any household job, it just takes a little longer.
They are small, compact, and easy to store.
Buy extra blades, they’re cheap.
