DIY DIGITAL PICTURE FRAME
is the modem card neccecary in the Inspiron 7500?
i am making a 10 year old Dell Inspiron 7500 into a digital picture frame, per the instructions posted in a recent DIY article of Maximumpc.com . Some of the parts in the laptop either are completely useless once in it’s picture frame state, or just take up a lot of room and arn’t neccecary. Is the modem card needed for the correct posting of the laptop?
The only use for a modem is if you want the laptop to be able to connect to a phone line to dial or get an Internet connection. If you do not need such a connection, you do not need the modem. Most computers today do not include modems.
