DIY GLAZING FILM
double glazing film and condensation?

In my home, not all the windows are double glazed. Only 3, and the other 4 are single glazed.
So to save energy I bought and install a kind of double glazing film I found in a DIY store.

Now I think that there is less condensation on those windows but more on the wall and corners inside those rooms.

Can anybody see a reason for this?

Yeah! Your house is damp – somewhere moisture is building up.

Good place to check first is guttering and drainpipes – see if they are blocked up – water will splash and seep into the mortar joints

Next – check the seals on the outside of the windows as they join the bricks.

Do the obvious first and work around. Are the rooms bedrooms – moisture (especially in this weather) from your breath alone can cause damp walls

Water tanks in loft can leak – etc etc etc

You just have to seek I’m afraid
