I’m putting on some aftermarket parts on my car and i want to keep it naturally assperated what r my choices?

The car is a 2002-05 honda civic si 2.0l 4cyl v-tec engine I’m planning on installing Headers, Air intake, and exhaust system. And i have no idea what next… I’m doing everything DIY and i have basic tools like a basic tool kit and a welder (my uncles he does it for work but not on cars(i mean welding)) I want the car to be naturally asperated so no turbo’s or super chargers what other after market parts can i get on it on a part time weekly type pay…..

please dont say change your car THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

Other big, cheap upgrades that give you the best bang for the buck you can do are as follows:

-Performance Chip (Mugen chips have the best setting but you can also buy programmable ones to change your air to fuel ratio) With a programmable chip you can burn fuel and air more efficiently as compared to stock specs giving you more power.

-Larger fuel injectors. Careful with this one, injectors meant for a turbo car will make the car run pig rich and destroy your gas mileage. Injectors and a Performance or programmable CPU chip work perfectly together.

-Polished intake or bigger intake piping to increase airflow. Make sure when you upgrade your car to cold air, you have the right placment of the filter so no hot engine run-off gets sucked into the motor.

-Camshafts and cam gears. These two almost always get replaced together because of the huge timing differences you can make. A camshaft with larger intake lobes keeps the intake valve open longer for more air and fuel to get into the engine. These two upgrades will always give you BIG torque gains. Along with this, you usually always replace the valve springs with stiffer stronger springs.

-Larger intake and exhaust valves. Bigger valves mean more air and fuel and a better flow of air. Better efficiency=more power. These work in conjunction with larger injectors.

-Higher pressure fuel pump. With all that sucking power of the motor, you have to make sure that the fuel pump can keep up with the computer’s demands.

-Port and Polish. Always always always, whenever you get bigger valves you need to have the head machine ported and might as well have it polished to fit the larger valves. Polishing the head increases air flow.

All of the upgrades listed above are all things you can do top side with the exception of having the head ported and polished. Listed below are are the bottom end things you can do to make your car truly NA. There really is only one upgrade you can safley do to work in harmony with the upgraded top end.

-Larger pistons and a bigger bore. You can bore the engine out safely to 2.5L. along with doing that, you will need larger pistons. NA pistons tend to be made out of aluminum and the stroke is almost always longer. A longer stroke means the piston has to travel more distance so it gives you that much time of power output on the crank. You can get lightweight aluminum pistons which increase torque.

-Install a lighter crankshaft. It’s easier to move lighter things right. Same rule applies here. More torque.
