do i have to add disclaimer on my youtube videos?
im starting to make youtube videos mostly about DIY and recycling
and alot of people are saying about the ftc stuff and you have to put disclaimer on the description box
and others say you don’t have to & you’re gonna get fined 1,000 $ i think
im confused, im not in partner yet, don’t plan on it, i make my own stuff
so do i have to put disclaimer or not?
and for some music too, i already know some artists aren’t allowed which is BS but w.e.

if it’s all your own work then no, you dont need a diclaimer. but say you were putting up a clip from a tv show or something then you need to say who the copyright owners are. But either way, even if you didnt put up a disclaimer for any of that stuff you won’t get fined…very doubtfull. Even if utube sends you a msg sayn that your vid was taken off due to infringment you can still leave it on. It’s only if the owners themselves get in contact with you (highly doubtfull) and tell you to remove the vid. Then you need to remove it or then i would say you’d probably be fined. So don’t worry about it. hope this helps
