DIY POWER SUPPLY 12V
One 12V power supply,5 12V cooler fan. Is this dangerous?
I’m a DIY person,so one of the project i doing is to make a DIY cooler pad. On my hand now i got 5 12v cooler fan,salvage from old pc and power supply. I was wandering is it dangerous to connect all 5 cooler fan to one single 12v power supply?
It’s not a matter of the voltages adding up, it ’s a matter of the wattages adding up and exceeding the psu’s wattage capacity. Check the fans for wattage ratings and take that into consideration.
