What is the technical name for this kind of screw?
I know nothing about DIY but I’m making a film and we’ve lost one of the screws for the camera dolly and I need to replace it. Trouble is, I don’t know what the technical name for this kind of screw is.
The dolly is small and lightweight, consisting of 3 metal arms with a wheel underneath each of them. On each of the arms there is a sliding metal rod that is used to hold the foot of the tripod in place. The screw in question has a large head, is turned by hand and is used to clamp the metal rod in place. The diameter of the end of the screw is approximately 5mm.
Can anyone help? I took the dolly to a specialist camera centre but they didn’t have spare parts for it. I also took it to Halfords (a specialist bike and car repair shop) and Focus (a general DIY shop) but neither of them had what I was looking for.
