LEG WAX DIY

i just had the absolute worst experience with waxing! what did i do wrong?
okay, so i decided about a week and a half ago i was going to try waxing. today i got a gigi waxing kit where you microwave the wax. i did it myself and tried waxing the bikini area and it hurt so terribly bad i couldnt stand it so i didnt even finish and i just got one spot of my leg. it hurt so bad and i still have some of the wax stuck all over me. ugh i dont know how to get the wax off and the lotion that came with the kit to remove the wax isnt working. im so mad i went through growing out my hair and buying that when it sucks this bad. would it be any better if i just got it done proffesionally or is it the same as diy. do you think i should just shave or is waxing worth it? please help!
This is the way it goes. You probably didn’t pull the skin enough, the wax was most likely too hot (that happens with the microwave stuff) and since you don’t have any training you didn’t know what to expect. First, olive oil should take off the excess wax, maybe some baby oil too. Go to a salon, or beauty school (they’re cheaper and the teachers check the work). When don’t properly waxing does hurt but the pain is quick and not nearly as intense as the pain you seemed to have experienced. I’ve been waxing for months now and I can’t seem to wax myself but can have others do it for me. It’s the anticipation of the pain that causes you to not pull fast enough. Plus when the muslin is removed it should make a ripping noise, like the sound of paper ripping in half. Good Luck!
