Does Anyone Else Think That British TV is Absolute Rubbish?
It seems to me that British TV producers only now cater for the weird liberal Guardian readers and the moronic chav welfare class. It main output is nasty cheap reality shows ,bland home buying advice shows , DIY , never ending deluge or food /cooking programs and we also have the modern witch burning / Inquisition with the Ch av gossip / slagging shows like Jeremy Kyle( Vile) and of course the dreadful soaps. You will find it hard to find any decent dramas or comedy or any think that appeals to a middle of the road viewer who wants a good Sci Fi or Family show ( what happened to all age family dramas?) . Even Doctor Who is not that good seems to be a opportunity for the biased BBC to push its political and social views and is so earth centric only the special effects are any good. Its time people refused to pay the TV License until there is a real change and we have a broad range of programming again.
I think you’re right. There is nothing good on British TV any more! I stopped watching Eastenders ages ago. My favourite comedy shows are American: Family Guy, Ugly Betty, and the Big Bang Theory. One of the few good family shows I like is Merlin. Reality shows have taken over all of the channels. I think people are getting sick of reality shows, though, seeing as how Big Brother’s ratings have plummeted. I miss good scripted dramas!
