How should I build stairs on a steep and muddy hill on a tight budget?
My DIY skill level is about average and I have a very limited budget and little time. I live in a wet climate and the grass hill leading up to my often used back gate can get very slippery and muddy.
I have concerns about erosion, and the steps coming loose after extended use.
I was thinking of embedding two of those steel prefab stringers into the ground on this hill, then adding the wood steps. Would this work? Or do you have a better quick and cheap solution?
i would get some stones(free) and dig them into the slope…find some old foundation stone somewhere…
