thank you for the suggestion that I use U shape pins to secure brushwood panels to existing fencing?

I know this sounds stupid but I’m fairly new to DIY – how do you hold these pins when you hammer these in? I’m so clumsy I bash my fingers – there must be a sensible method.

I got real tired of busted and bruised thumbs and fingers. I used a pair of needle nose pliers to hold the things.
