diy led lighting for a 48 x 18 x 18 aquarium any suggestions?

i want to make my own lighting im confident on the sodering sode and putting it all together but have not got a clue where to start was looking for some guildence even a plan something with a dimmer switch would be great also

how about getting a pc. of tempered glass or plexi glass to fit the top of the aquarium,then hot glue the led lights in a pattern you like.you can buy cords that the lights will plug into that have dimmer on the cord itself.
