washing machine leaking from underneath?

my washing machine either doesnt empty water from the soap draw or leaks from underneath I pulled it out yesterday to check it wasn’t the hoses- they are definitely fine.
I am no good with DIY and I have a little one so can’t go long without a washing machine- are there any big repair companies in the UK.. I don’t like – like curry’s or something. is it worth paying for or should I just fork out for a new washer >.< thanks for any help

Yes it is at the end of the cycle, when the water is emptying. any idea what it might be?- its definitely coming from underneath

this sounds like your water pump.or the pipes fitted to it (there’s two inlet and outlet)so have a look under the machine by removing the rear panel follow the hose from the drum it will go into a little black or grey pump(make sure you unplug the machine from the mains these wire remain live sometimes)check this pipe the telltale sign is a white covering (soap)on the pipe this is where its leaking from also check the outlet pipe(grey)this is the drain pipe, if there both ok check the pump housing for the same marks if that’s ok check round the drum..for parts check out www.partmaster.com
